ABOUT SCOTT BURNS DEMO PRODUCER
Scott Burns voice demo production expertise stems from his lifelong career as a working voice actor and audio producer for advertising and media production companies based in Seattle Washington. His collaborative approach to working with clients has resulted in industry recognition for co-producing the first SOVA Voice-Arts award, “Outstanding Commercial Female Demo for Deb Munro in 2014 as well as receiving the Seattle Penny Arcade Expo (PAX) for “Best Character Demo.” Much to his delight, various Talent Agency Reps and even Recording Studio Managers continue to refer talent to Scott for demo production…
Currently residing in Sunny Las Vegas, Burns doesn’t have far to travel for inspiration to make your demo razzle and dazzle potential voice buyers! Building on his years of working both sides of the glass, Scott spends copious time with you to assure whatever genre of voice demo you’re seeking will includethe ‘WOW’ factor!
Long before ‘demo discussion’ is considered of course it will need to be determined if you’re actually ‘demo ready.’ If you’re just starting out in the business, it would be imperative to receive sufficient coaching before presenting your vocal wares to the world. It’s hard to ‘un-ring the bell”

From consultation to close, your input is encouraged.
A vast library of professionally written scripts/copy await your consideration. For commercial demos, based on information gathered pertaining to the types of products, goods and services YOU like and love, Scott will cull a healthy supply of material customized to fit your voice type and brand. You’ll then be asked to separate the selections into “Yes,” “Maybe” and “No” folders. After an email exchange, a demo REHEARSAL will be scheduled where you and Scott will go through the scripts to determine what style and approach would be best suited for each individual spot. That way, come actual recording time…all the stress from analyzing copy is eliminated and you’ll be relaxed, allowing serendipity to happen!
For Narration and Character demos, the same process will occur, only the subject matter will differ of course. In each rehearsal session a TECH check will also be conducted to hear whether your microphone and acoustics are at their utmost best. If not, it may be determined to seek alternative recording venues, either through a professional studio or friend with suitable facilities. Additional fees involved are not inclusive to your demo package, so payment would need to be covered individually.
Scott likes to space the Rehearsal session a few days apart from the actual recording date so as to let everything gel and provide the talent ample rest. It’s recommended you hydrate with plenty of water the DAY BEFORE your recording date. Drinking all that water during the session will only serve to make you burp-y! Yes you’ll want to have a bottle of H20 handy when recording…but mainly for occasional sips. (And maybe to cool down when you’re really COOKIN!)
